Travel Restriction due to Covid – 19 pandemic has resulted in historically low ticket demand among travellers. Several airlines have declared bankruptcy, with some ceasing operations, while other airlines reported historic reductions in flights, as well as accelerating retirements of certain aircraft types. 43 commercial airlines had gone bankrupt by 8 October 2020, and many more are expected to follow.
The strict government regulation on the reduction number of passengers per flight causes many empty seats and flight cancelation, which in turn reduced the revenue for the aviation industry. Many industries are struggling to cope with the situation company layoffs were inevitable. This situation had also impacted other sectors, tourism, hotel and restaurant among many that are struggling to cope with the pandemic.
